Play Prince of Evil Online

Swing a rusty sword through pixel dungeons where skeletons lurk and every tile might be a trap—it’s janky at first, but the rhythm sticks. That ‘80s vibe where you’ll actually take notes to solve its sneaky puzzles.

Game Overview

"Prince of Evil" is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow slipped under the radar back in the day, but man, does it deserve more love. You start off in this eerie pixelated world where everything wants to kill you—skeletons lurk in dark corners, traps spring when you least expect them, and the soundtrack nails that perfect blend of ominous and nostalgic.

The combat feels clunky at first (it is from the late '80s), but once you get the rhythm of swinging your sword and dodging attacks, it clicks in a weirdly satisfying way. And the dungeons? They’re full of those old-school "wait, was that tile always that color?" puzzles that’ll make you scribble notes on actual paper.

If you’ve got DOSBox ready and miss the days when games didn’t hold your hand, this is a great way to spend an evening. Just don’t blame me when you lose track of time trying to figure out what that weird glowing rune actually does.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
