Game Overview

"Project - Weltuntergang" is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that somehow sticks with you. The title alone—German for "Project - Doomsday"—sets the tone: bleak, cryptic, and oddly hypnotic. You wake up in this pixelated wasteland with no explanation, just a flickering terminal and some vague commands to type. The first time I played, I spent 15 minutes just staring at the screen, trying to figure out if I was supposed to escape, survive, or maybe just accept the inevitable.

It’s got that early '90s vibe where the atmosphere does most of the heavy lifting—no tutorials, no quest markers, just you and this unsettling little world. The graphics are simple, but the way the screen flickers when you enter commands makes it feel like the game itself is barely holding together. If you’ve ever played *Another World* and loved how it just threw you into the deep end, this feels like its even more obscure, slightly unhinged cousin.

Not gonna lie, it’s janky in places, and some of the "puzzles" are more frustrating than clever. But there’s something about the way it commits to its own weirdness that makes it hard to quit. Best played late at night with DOSBox and zero expectations.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
