Game Overview

Pub Pool on MS-DOS was the kind of game that tricked you into thinking you were in some dimly lit pub, nursing a pint while lining up your next shot—even though you were just squinting at a CRT monitor. The controls were dead simple: arrow keys to aim, space to shoot, and that was it. No fancy spin physics or elaborate trick shots, just the satisfying thunk of balls dropping into pockets.

What I loved was how unapologetically basic it was. The balls looked like colored blobs, the table was a flat green rectangle, and the "AI" opponent had exactly two moods: weirdly lucky or hilariously bad. But somehow, that was enough. You’d start with "just one game," and suddenly it’s 2 AM, and you’re muttering at the screen because the computer sank the 8-ball on a fluke.

If you ever played pool on an old beige keyboard, you know exactly why this one stuck around. It’s pure, janky nostalgia with just enough challenge to keep you hooked.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
