Game Overview

RPG Tsukuru DS+ is basically a tiny RPG maker you can carry in your pocket—if your pocket still fits a DS, anyway. You start by sketching out maps with simple tiles, then drop in towns, dungeons, and NPCs who say whatever nonsense you type for them. The first time I tried it, I made a hero who just complained about taxes while fighting slimes. Classic.

It’s not as deep as the PC RPG makers, but there’s something fun about slapping together a janky little adventure during a bus ride. You can tweak battles, items, and even some basic story flags—just don’t expect Skyrim. The charm’s in the limitations, honestly. Half my dungeons were just rectangles with treasure chests at dead ends.

If you ever wanted to build an RPG but got overwhelmed by actual tools, this is your training wheels version. Just don’t blame me when your epic fantasy plot derails because you got distracted making all the shopkeepers rude for no reason.
