Game Overview

I first played Sila’s Quest back in the late '90s, when it was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection released in 1997 by Mago Ediciones SL. It fit right in with the era’s pixelated adventures, offering a straightforward fantasy experience without a lot of the complexity you see in modern titles. The game didn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but it had a certain charm that made it memorable for those of us who grew up with keyboard controls and VGA graphics.

You control Sila, a young hero armed with a sword, and your goal is to rescue a kidnapped princess by navigating through a series of interconnected screens. The gameplay involves screen-by-screen exploration, combat with various enemies using your sword, and collecting key items to progress. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, especially when dealing with limited health and precise enemy patterns. Playing it feels like a deliberate, sometimes tense puzzle where every move counts.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
