Play Sonic Rush Online
Sonic and Blaze tear through wild obstacle courses, flipping between screens while pulling off mid-air tricks to fuel insane speed boosts. That split-second timing when you chain moves and rocket through a level? Pure adrenaline.

Game Overview
So, Sonic Rush on the DS—this one’s a blast if you like speed. Right off the bat, you’re chasing some new cat thief (Blaze, turns out she’s cool) who swiped an emerald Eggman left behind. Classic Sonic setup, but the twist here is the dual-screen action—you’re zipping between the top and bottom displays, which sounds weird but actually works surprisingly well.
You’ve got Sonic and Blaze as playable characters, each with their own little quirks. Tails, Amy, and the gang pop up too, but mostly as cheerleaders. The trick system’s fun—do enough flips and spins mid-air, and you’ll fill a gauge that lets you boost like a rocket. Feels great when you nail a long chain of tricks and just blast through a whole section.
The levels are these wild obstacle courses with bungee jumps, giant spinning wheels, and the usual loop-de-loops. Boss fights switch to 3D on the top screen, which is a nice change of pace. And yeah, there are touch-controlled special stages—some love ‘em, some hate ‘em, but they’re a decent distraction.
Once you finish the story, there’s Time Attack for replaying levels and a local multiplayer race mode. Not gonna lie, the single-card download for multiplayer was a lifesaver back in the day. Solid package if you’re into that classic Sonic speed with a DS twist.
