Space Ace Disk1 came out on the Amiga in 1989 from ReadySoft Incorporated. It was part of that wave of games trying to bring the arcade experience home, using the Amiga's capabilities for detailed animation and sound. You control the hero, either Space Ace or his younger self Dexter, through a series of animated scenes. Your main goal is to rescue Kimberly and stop the villain Borf. The gameplay is built on quick-time events; you watch the action unfold and must press the correct direction or button at the exact moment prompted to avoid obstacles or attack enemies. It is entirely reflex-based, screen by screen, with a difficulty that demands precise timing.
