Game Overview

Space Ace II: Borf's Revenge came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by ReadySoft. It was a time when full-motion video games were pushing the limits of what home computers could display, and this sequel tried to build on the interactive cartoon style of its predecessor.

You control Dexter, or rather, you try to keep him alive by hitting the correct arrow keys at just the right moment during animated action sequences. The goal is to rescue Kimberly from the villain Borf, navigating through a series of perilous scenes where timing is everything. The gameplay hinges on quick reaction prompts; if you press the wrong direction or hesitate, Dexter meets a comical, over-the-top demise. It's less about exploration and more about memorizing sequences and developing muscle memory for each scene. The difficulty can be punishing, with little room for error, making progress feel earned through repetition. Playing it feels like trying to survive a chaotic cartoon where you're never quite in control.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
