Space Ace_Disk3 on the Amiga is basically Readysoft doing their thing again—taking a laserdisc arcade classic and cramming it onto 16-bit hardware. If you played their Dragon’s Lair port, you know the drill: gorgeous redrawn animation, but only snippets of the original scenes, and you’re mostly just hammering buttons at the right moment to keep the cartoon rolling.

This time, you’re Space Ace (or his awkward teen self, Dexter, thanks to Borf’s Infanto-Ray), dodging death animations while trying to save Earth and your girlfriend. The arcade version let you choose between Ace and Dexter for different paths, but here, the game decides for you—no branching, just pure reflex-testing chaos. It’s frustrating in that old-school way where you’ll die a lot before memorizing the timing, but the animation still looks great for the era.

Honestly, it’s more of a nostalgia trip than a deep game, but if you’ve got the patience, there’s something weirdly satisfying about finally nailing that one scene that kept killing you.
