Play Spiritual Warfare on Msdos Online
Explore a top-down world, chat with townsfolk, battle sins using fruits of the Spirit, and navigate mazes to collect all nine in Spiritual Warfare on MS-DOS.
Spiritual Warfare came out in 1992 from Wisdom Tree, a company known for blending scripture with gameplay. It was one of those MS-DOS titles that felt like a product of its time, a clear attempt to merge the structure of popular adventure games with overtly religious themes. You don't find many games like it outside of that specific niche.
You control a character who explores a top-down world screen by screen, talking to townsfolk and battling enemies that represent various sins. Your main goal is to collect the nine fruits of the Spirit, which act as both your weapons and your key progression items. Combat involves throwing these fruits at foes; for instance, you use goodness to defeat hatred. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty comes from navigating the maze-like world and managing your limited ammunition. It feels like a very earnest, slightly clunky attempt to make a moral lesson interactive.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
