Star Command: Gold came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by GT Interactive. It was a space strategy title from a time when turn-based games were common, and it offered a methodical, thoughtful approach to commanding a fleet.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
