Game Overview

Star Wars Episode 1: Obi-Wan on the Game Boy Color is one of those rare movie games that doesn’t feel rushed—it actually nails the Jedi fantasy. You start off with a basic lightsaber swing (which already feels great), then slowly unlock Force pushes and jumps as you slash through Trade Federation droids. The levels are surprisingly varied—one minute you’re platforming across Naboo’s rooftops, the next you’re deflecting blaster bolts in the Theed hangar.

The pixel art holds up, especially the way Obi-Wan’s robe animates when he runs. And that chiptune version of "Duel of the Fates" during the Maul fight? Chills. Some of the jumps are a little finicky, but nailing a perfect saber combo on a Sith warrior makes up for it. Honestly, it’s wild how much personality they packed into a tiny cartridge.

If you’ve got a soft spot for late-90s Star Wars or just want a solid action-platformer, this one’s still worth digging up.
