Game Overview

Man, Street Fighting Man doesn’t mess around. You boot it up on MS-DOS, and within seconds you’re in some grimy alleyway, fists already flying. The pixel art’s got that chunky, slightly jagged look—like someone carved it out of wood with a pocketknife—and the thugs just keep coming at you. No fancy backstory, no tutorial, just punch, kick, and try not to get jumped by three guys at once.

It’s got that same vibe as Double Dragon, but stripped down to the bare essentials. The sound effects are all crunchy thuds and exaggerated groans, and somehow, landing a solid uppercut still feels satisfying even with the janky animations. I lost my first run in about two minutes because I forgot how unforgiving these old brawlers were—no health pickups, no mercy.

If you’ve got nostalgia for floppy disks and arcade cabinets that ate your quarters, this one’s a straight shot of that raw, early ‘90s energy. Just don’t expect to win on your first try.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
