Super Carlos World came out on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of those early SNES titles that really showed off what the console could do, with a brighter color palette and a smoother sense of motion compared to what we were used to on the NES.

You control Carlos, a little guy in a red cap, navigating through a series of single-screen stages. Your goal is to reach the exit in each one, often by clearing out enemies or solving simple environmental puzzles. The jumping has a deliberate, almost heavy feel to it; you need to time your bounces on enemies carefully, because a mistimed landing sends you right back to the start. Some stages introduce special power-ups, like a propeller hat that lets you float for a short time, changing how you approach the layout. The difficulty is consistent but fair, never feeling cheap. It feels satisfying to build a rhythm as you move from one screen to the next.
