Game Overview
Super Double Dragon on SNES is where the series finally got its own console-exclusive brawler instead of just being arcade ports. You still get the classic side-scrolling beat 'em up action—punches, kicks, throwing dudes into barrels—but with smoother controls and some new moves like backflips and charge attacks.
At first, it feels a little slower than the arcade games, but once you get used to the timing, the combat actually has more weight to it. The soundtrack’s got that gritty '90s synth vibe, and the sprite work holds up surprisingly well. Definitely one of the better Double Dragon games if you’re into old-school brawlers.
