Game Overview
Super Double Dragon on SNES is that classic beat 'em up where you punch, kick, and occasionally chuck a dude into the background. You play as Billy or Jimmy Lee (or both, if you’ve got a buddy handy), beating up waves of goons to rescue Marian—who, let’s be honest, keeps getting kidnapped way too often.
The levels are straightforward—left to right, smacking thugs with bats and nunchucks—but the combat’s got a bit more weight to it than the arcade version. You can block, grapple, and even chain moves together if you time it right. The music’s all moody synth, and the sprite work holds up surprisingly well for an early SNES title.
It’s not the hardest game in the series, but there’s something satisfying about clearing a screen of enemies with a well-placed spin kick. Just watch out for those knife guys.
