Game Overview

Super Dune II: Classic came out in 2009 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a re-release that brought the original Westwood Studios title to modern systems. It belongs to that era of early real-time strategy games where you managed resources, built bases, and directed armies across a stark desert landscape. The game captures the look and feel of the older platform without trying to modernize it, which gives it a certain straightforward charm.

You take command of one of three Great Houses, each with unique units and advantages, and your goal is to dominate the planet Arrakis by controlling its spice fields. You harvest spice to fund your war machine, construct buildings to train infantry and vehicles, and send out harvesters under guard to avoid sandworm attacks. The pacing is tense; enemy raids come often, and you must balance expansion with defense. It feels methodical and satisfying when your strategies finally pay off after several failed attempts.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
