Super Mario Advance (Cezar) (EU) is basically two games in one—a remake of Super Mario Bros. 2 and the old Mario Bros. arcade game. The main part feels familiar if you've played the original, but with some tweaks. The first thing you notice is the voices, which are kind of charming at first but get repetitive fast.

Pulling veggies out of the ground and tossing them at enemies still feels satisfying, though the controls take a little getting used to. The red coins add a reason to explore every corner, but some are hidden in annoying spots. And that Robirdo boss? Weird choice, but it’s a fresh twist.

The Yoshi Challenge is where things get tough. Losing a life resets your progress, so you end up replaying levels just to grab those last two eggs. The arcade mode is fun for short bursts, especially with a friend, but it’s not the main draw. Super Mario Advance (Cezar) (EU) is a solid package, though it doesn’t change much from the originals.
