Game Overview

Super Mario Strikers is basically soccer if Mario and friends decided rules were optional. You pick a captain (Mario, Peach, Bowser, etc.), grab a couple sidekicks, and then it’s pure chaos—electric fences, no refs, and everyone’s shoving, stealing, and blasting fireballs mid-game. Bowser even crashes the field sometimes to knock everyone around.

At first, I just mashed buttons to shoot, but then I realized timing a charged shot or pulling off a one-timer (shoot right as the pass lands) makes a huge difference. Super strikes are ridiculous—your captain winds up this glowing shot that counts for two goals, but good luck pulling it off without someone body-slamming you first. And yeah, you can absolutely punch Yoshi in the face if you feel like it, but his team gets a free item if he wasn’t even holding the ball. Typical Mario logic.

It’s fast, stupid, and way more fun than it has any right to be. Just don’t expect anything resembling actual soccer.
