Play Super Mario World 2 - Yoshis Island Online
You play as a bunch of Yoshis carrying Baby Mario through trippy, scribble-drawn levels—turning enemies into eggs, stumbling into hidden secrets, and occasionally morphing into a tank-like dinosaur when things get wild.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island is one of those games that sticks with you—not just because it’s gorgeous (and it is, with those crayon-scribble backgrounds and goofy enemy designs), but because it plays unlike anything else. You’re not jumping on goombas as Mario this time; instead, you’re a whole squad of Yoshis, carting Baby Mario around like a very loud, very fragile backpack.
The levels are these weird, wonderful playgrounds where you’ll spit enemies as eggs to solve puzzles, accidentally trigger hidden clouds by bumping into the wrong wall, and occasionally turn into a stomping dinosaur mech because why not? The first time I played, I got stuck for ages in World 2’s "Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy" level—those pink puffballs mess with the screen like a bad trip, and it’s hilarious.
It’s got that perfect SNES difficulty too—easy to pick up, but some of those bonus stages? Brutal. And that final boss fight against Baby Bowser still feels massive, even decades later. If you’ve never tried it, just know: this isn’t Mario’s sidekick game. It’s a full-blown classic with its own weird, wonderful identity.
