Super Mario World: Bermuda Triangle Edition is an unofficial ROM hack for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, a modification of the original 1990 platformer. It takes the familiar framework of Nintendo's game and twists it into something far more unpredictable, trading the established level design for a constant state of flux.

You control Mario, or sometimes Luigi, with the primary goal of simply surviving long enough to reach a goal post. The core mechanics of running and jumping remain, but they are constantly undermined by the game's signature feature: levels that warp, shift, and dissolve without warning. Platforms disappear as you land on them, enemies phase in and out of existence, and entire sections of a stage might be replaced by a bottomless pit on a subsequent attempt. The pacing is deliberately erratic, and the difficulty is unforgiving, born from pure chaos rather than careful design. Playing it feels like trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle while someone keeps changing the shapes of the pieces.
