Play Super Mario World - Pit of Death Online

Super Mario World came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed and published by Nintendo. It was a defining title for the console, building on the side scrolling platforming that made its predecessors so popular, but with a much larger world to explore and a smoother, more colorful presentation.

You control Mario, or Luigi for two player turns, running and jumping through levels filled with enemies and obstacles. The main goal is to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser by progressing through seven worlds, each with multiple stages and hidden exits that unlock new paths. Signature mechanics include the cape power up, which lets you fly and glide after a running start, and Yoshi, the dinosaur companion who can eat enemies and spit them back out. The pacing is brisk, but the difficulty can spike sharply in later levels and secret areas, demanding careful timing and memorization. It feels like a constant, rewarding test of your reflexes and curiosity.
