Play Super Ninja Boy Online

Two ninjas slash through aliens and monsters, switching between top-down exploring and side-scrolling chaos—boss fights even turn into weird turn-based showdowns. Also, your friend can join mid-game by visiting a convenience store, because 90s games didn’t need reasons.

Game Overview

Super Ninja Boy is this weird, charming little SNES action-RPG where you play as two ninjas investigating why their homeland’s suddenly crawling with monsters after a suspiciously peaceful alien visit. The setup sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon—Emperor Chin, a spaceship broadcasting "peace," and a guy named Rub-A-Doc (seriously)—but it works.

You’ll mostly run around in top-down towns and dungeons, then switch to side-scrolling combat when enemies show up. It’s chaotic fun—you’re jumping, slashing, and breaking open random boxes mid-battle for power-ups. Boss fights flip to turn-based, which keeps things from getting stale. The two-player mode’s neat too—your buddy can drop in anytime by hitting up a convenience store (because why not?).

It’s janky in that classic SNES way, but there’s something oddly satisfying about leveling up your ninjas and watching them shred through monsters with increasingly ridiculous skills. Just don’t expect a deep story—this is pure 90s action with a side of questionable alien diplomacy.
