Super Solvers: Challenge of the Ancient Empires came out in 1990 from The Learning Company, a familiar name if you grew up with MS-DOS educational games. It fit right in with that era's mix of learning and adventure, offering a more action-oriented experience than some of their other titles.

You control a young explorer navigating a series of trap-filled temples, screen by screen. The main goal is to collect pieces of a medallion scattered throughout each level while avoiding creatures like bats and scorpions. Key mechanics include using a miner's helmet to see in dark rooms and special turbo sneakers that let you bounce off walls to reach high ledges. The game requires careful timing and observation, as the puzzles involve redirecting light beams with mirrors and managing your limited resources. It feels tense and rewarding when you finally thread your way past all the hazards to grab a medallion piece.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
