Play Super Tetris Online
Rotate and place tetrominoes to clear lines and survive, while dodging bombs and adjusting to a rising castle that disrupts your stack in Super Tetris.
Super Tetris was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't carry a specific numbered release in that series. It was developed and published by Spectrum HoloByte, a name familiar to PC gamers in the early 1990s. This version of Tetris arrived when many players were still booting their systems from floppy disks, and it offered a few surprises beyond the standard falling block formula.
You control the orientation and placement of tetrominoes as they descend, aiming to clear horizontal lines to prevent the stack from reaching the top. The main objective remains survival, but Super Tetris introduced bombs hidden within some blocks; failing to clear lines containing these bombs in time causes them to detonate, leaving behind permanent debris. Occasionally, a pixelated castle graphic rises from the bottom of the screen, disrupting your established stack and forcing quick adjustments. The pacing is relentless, with the blocks gradually falling faster as you progress, creating a steady climb in tension. It feels like a constant scramble to adapt, where one small mistake can unravel minutes of careful planning.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
