I picked up Tarzan for the Game Boy Color back when Disney games were everywhere. It was developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Activision, one of those many licensed platformers that filled the handheld's library. The game sticks to the movie's plot pretty closely, following Tarzan from his childhood through his encounters with humans and the showdown with Clayton.

You control Tarzan through a series of side-scrolling levels, swinging on vines, climbing trees, and avoiding animals like leopards and baboons. The main goal is to get from the start of each stage to the end, often while being chased or navigating tricky platform layouts. A couple of the standout mechanics are the vine swinging, which requires timing to build momentum, and the occasional animal riding sections, like speeding through on an ostrich. The game moves at a quick pace, but some of the platforming can feel imprecise, especially the climbing. It's a straightforward action game that captures the setting well, even if the controls aren't always reliable.
