Game Overview

So, this is the Game Boy Color version of Disney's Tarzan—basically a side-scrolling platformer where you swing through vines, dodge leopards, and occasionally ride weirdly fast ostriches. The controls take a second to get used to (why does climbing feel so stiff?), but once you figure out the rhythm of vine-swinging, it’s kinda satisfying. There are a few curveballs, like swimming sections where you avoid piranhas or sliding down trees, but mostly it’s classic jump-and-grab stuff. The sprites are surprisingly decent for a GBC game—you can actually tell it’s Tarzan and not just some brown blob. Not the deepest platformer out there, but if you’re into movie tie-ins, it’s a solid time-killer.
