Game Overview

This Game Boy Color version of Tarzan is way better than it has any right to be. Yeah, it's based on the Disney movie, but don't let that fool you—it's actually a solid little platformer with some surprising variety. You'll swing on vines (obviously), climb trees, and even ride a few animals, which feels way smoother than you'd expect from a GBC game.

The levels mix things up just enough—one minute you're dodging leopards in the jungle, the next you're sliding down waterfalls. The animation's surprisingly decent too, especially when Tarzan does his signature yell. My only gripe? Some of the later levels get brutal with the platforming. Still, for a movie tie-in, it holds up way better than most.
