The Cool Croc Twins came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Arcadia Systems. It was one of those early platformers that felt right at home on a beige desktop tower, a colorful distraction from the usual text-based or strategy titles of the era. You didn't need a fancy setup; just a keyboard and a friend, if you were lucky.
You control one of two crocodile brothers, navigating a series of single-screen levels filled with hazards like frogs on wobbly lily pads and bottomless pits. The main goal is simply to survive and reach the exit, but the real fun comes from the co-op and competitive mechanics. You can work together to clear obstacles, or you can shove your partner into danger for a cheap laugh. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty spikes quickly, especially when the screen gets crowded with enemies. It feels chaotic and unpredictable, a game where cooperation and betrayal are equally valid strategies.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
