Virtual Chess 64 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed and published by Titus Interactive. It was one of the few dedicated chess games on the console, arriving at a time when many players were more accustomed to fast paced action titles. You control the chess pieces as you would in any standard match, moving them across the board with the goal of checkmating your opponent's king.
