Play War of the Lance Online
Pick your Dragonlance heroes, then march across Krynn making tough calls—help villages or hunt Highlords, with every choice shaping how those turn-based battles play out. Those pixelated Fireballs still feel weirdly satisfying.

Game Overview
War of the Lance is one of those old MS-DOS games that somehow made clunky pixels feel epic. You start off picking your party from Dragonlance legends—Raistlin’s there, of course, looking appropriately broody in his red robes—and then it’s all about marching across Krynn, trying not to get stomped by draconians. The battles are turn-based, but with enough little twists (like morale checks and spell fatigue) to keep you on your toes.
What really hooked me was how it nailed the book’s atmosphere. You’re not just fighting random monsters—you’re making calls like whether to help a village or chase down a Dragon Highlord, and the game remembers your choices. Yeah, the graphics haven’t aged well, but there’s something weirdly charming about watching tiny sprites cast Fireball. If you ever wanted to yell “For Paladine!” at your CRT monitor, this was your chance.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
