Game Overview

Wizardry II: The Knight of Diamonds came out in 1982 from Sir-Tech, a direct sequel that continued right where the first game left off. It was part of that early wave of MS-DOS dungeon crawlers, demanding patience and graph paper from anyone brave enough to venture inside. The game expected you to already have a party from the original Wizardry; it didn't hold your hand or reintroduce the basics.

You control a party of up to six adventurers, descending into a maze filled with monsters and traps. The goal is to retrieve the Knight of Diamonds orb from the dungeon's depths. You explore the world screen by screen, mapping as you go, engaging in turn based combat where positioning and spell selection matter deeply. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, and the difficulty remains punishing throughout. It feels like a tense, high stakes expedition where every decision carries weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
