Game Overview

Wizkid: The Story of Wizball II came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Sensible Software. It arrived during a time when PC gaming was still finding its feet, and developers were willing to try strange ideas without worrying too much about fitting into a genre. This game definitely stands out as one of the odder experiments from that era.

You control a little wizard who bounces on piano keys, avoiding flying scissors and confused skulls while trying to rescue his family from a mouse warlock. The main goal involves navigating through surreal, screen by screen environments, solving simple puzzles, and collecting items to progress. The pacing is deliberately slow, almost dreamlike, and the difficulty comes more from the bizarre level design than from complex mechanics. Playing it feels like stepping into someone's strange, slightly broken cartoon dream.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
