Game Overview

Worlds of Legend: Son of the Empire is one of those old-school isometric RPGs that feels like a forgotten gem. You start with a party of four—Barbarian, Rune Master, Assassin, and Troubadour—each with their own quirks. The Barbarian smashes things (obviously), but the Troubadour’s buffs actually end up being way more useful than you’d think at first glance.

The world’s got that classic ‘90s pixel charm, and the isometric view makes exploration feel a little like solving a puzzle. Combat’s turn-based but quick, so you’re not stuck waiting forever between moves. It’s got that satisfying mix of strategy and chaos where one wrong move can wreck your whole plan, but pulling off a perfect fight feels amazing.

Honestly, it’s a shame more people don’t talk about this one—it’s got way more depth than you’d expect from a DOS-era RPG. The soundtrack’s a banger too.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
