Game Overview

Worm Wars came out as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a title from the early 90s that fit right in with the era's appetite for simple, competitive two-player games. It was developed by a small team, though the exact studio name escapes me now; it had that shareware feel, the kind of game you'd copy onto a floppy disk for a friend.

You control a segmented worm, moving it through a maze filled with destructible walls and, more importantly, your opponent. Your main goal is to outmaneuver the other worm, planting mines that explode after a short delay to carve new paths or block theirs. The screen is a single, confined arena, so collisions are constant and mistakes are immediate. It's fast, chaotic, and a single misstep can end the round in an instant. Playing it feels like a tense, twitchy duel where every turn matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
