Play Worms (Europe) on gb Online
Tiny worms take turns blasting each other with ridiculous weapons—sheep explode, terrain crumbles, and half your shots backfire spectacularly. Pure chaotic fun on a Game Boy screen.

I first played Worms on the Game Boy in 1995, a portable version of the turn-based strategy game developed by Team17. It arrived during a time when handheld games were often simpler adaptations of console titles, but this one managed to capture the core of its bigger siblings surprisingly well.
You control a team of worms, taking turns to move and fire weapons across destructible terrain with the goal of eliminating the opposing team. Signature mechanics include using the bazooka for precise shots, setting off exploding sheep for area damage, and navigating the crumbling landscape after each turn. The pacing is deliberate, with each move requiring careful aim and consideration of wind direction, though miscalculations often lead to hilarious misfires. It feels satisfying to land a perfect grenade toss or watch an opponent's worm plummet into the water.
