Play Worms Online
Control a team of worms, take turns to move and attack with crazy weapons, and blow up the terrain while trying to outsmart your opponent in this chaotic strategy game.
I first played Worms on the Sega Genesis back in 1995, a game developed by Team17. It was a different kind of strategy title for the system, one that didn't rely on complex menus or massive armies. Instead, it offered something more personal and chaotic, a perfect fit for the era's growing interest in multiplayer experiences that were easy to pick up but hard to master.
You control a team of four worms, taking turns with another player or the AI to eliminate the opposing team. Each turn gives you a limited amount of time to move your worm and fire a weapon, from bazookas and grenades to the infamous Holy Hand Grenade. The terrain is completely destructible, so every shot carves new craters and can collapse the ground under your enemies (or your own feet). The pacing is methodical yet unpredictable, as a single lucky shot can completely turn the tide of a match. It feels like a tense, absurd chess match where every move might accidentally blow up your own queen.
