Play Worms on GB Online
Take turns blasting worm squads with wonky physics—bazookas carve tunnels, grenades send enemies flying, and one wrong move lands you in the drink. The moon levels? Good luck hitting anything when your shots float sideways.

Worms on the Game Boy, released in 1995 by Team17, brought the series' turn-based artillery chaos to a handheld screen. It arrived during a time when portable games often felt like stripped-down versions of their console counterparts, but this one managed to pack in the core experience. You got the worms, the weapons, and the destructible terrain, all squeezed into that green-tinted display.
You control a team of worms, taking turns to move and attack the opposing team across a series of randomly generated landscapes. The main objective is to eliminate all enemy worms using an arsenal that includes bazookas, grenades, and dynamite. Signature mechanics involve calculating trajectories while accounting for wind, using the ninja rope to swing to better positions, and watching as explosions permanently alter the battlefield. The pacing is deliberate, with each turn requiring careful thought, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly depending on terrain and luck. It feels like a tense, silly chess match where every move could end in glorious victory or a sudden, watery defeat.
