Game Overview

Yet Another Mario World is one of those fan-made SNES games that somehow nails the Mario vibe better than most official releases. The first thing you'll notice is how crisp the controls feel—jumping on goombas has that same satisfying bounce, but then you stumble into a weird new power-up that turns Yoshi into... a helicopter? Okay, sure, why not.

The levels look like they could've been pulled straight from a lost Super Mario World cartridge, but there are little surprises everywhere. One minute you're running through a classic grassy hillside, the next you're dodging fireballs from a boss you've never seen before. And good luck finding all the hidden exits—some of them are tucked away in places that'd make even a speedrunner pause.

It's not perfect (the music loops get a little repetitive), but if you've ever wanted more of that 16-bit Mario magic with some fresh twists, this is the closest thing to digging up an unreleased sequel. Just don't blame me when you lose an afternoon to it.
