Alien Breed on the Amiga is basically what happens if you take Aliens and smash it together with Gauntlet—top-down, tense, and crawling with creepy xenomorphs. You play as one of two marines stuck on a space station overrun by aliens, and let me tell you, those things pop out of the walls like they’ve got a personal grudge against you.

You’re constantly juggling ammo, health, and keys—run out of any one, and you’re toast. The keys are especially sneaky; some doors zap you if you backtrack, and if you waste the wrong one, you might lock yourself out of progress. The Infotex terminals are a lifesaver, letting you spend credits on supplies, but good luck finding enough cash when every corner has another alien waiting to pounce.

No music here, just the hum of machinery, your gunfire, and the skittering of alien feet. It’s unnerving in the best way. You’ll die a lot, but that’s half the fun.
