Game Overview

Bad Blood is this weird little MS-DOS gem where you’re trying to stop a war between mutants and humans in a nuclear wasteland. You pick one of three characters—Varrigg the mutant brawler, Dekker the knife guy, or Jakka (who’s basically Cyclops with laser eyes). Honestly, the choice doesn’t change much, but Jakka’s lasers make early fights way easier.

You’ll spend most of your time wandering between ruined cities and mutant villages, grabbing shotguns or grenades off the ground, and fighting monsters in real-time. No stats or leveling—just you, whatever weapon you scavenged, and a ton of mutants to punch/shoot. The day-night cycle actually matters too: more monsters come out after dark, and some NPCs just won’t talk to you unless it’s daytime. Weirdly immersive for such a simple game.

It’s janky, but there’s something charming about how straightforward it is. Just don’t expect deep RPG mechanics—this is pure 90s action with a post-apocalyptic coat of paint.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
