Blade on the Game Boy Color came out in 2000, published by Activision. It was part of that wave of licensed games trying to capture a bit of the film's vibe on a handheld, back when movie tie-ins were everywhere and usually pretty rough. You play as the daywalker himself, moving through a side-scrolling New York overrun with vampires.

You control Blade through a series of urban levels, using your sword and occasional firearms to clear out enemies. The main goal is to hunt down key vampire leaders across the city, progressing screen by screen while managing your health and ammo. Combat relies on quick slashes and well-timed jumps, with some light platforming and hidden items to find. The pacing is aggressive, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clunky action game that captures the character's tone through its grim visuals and constant combat.
