Game Overview

Blade on Game Boy Color is one of those weird little movie tie-ins that somehow works. You play as the half-vampire hunter from the film, slashing through alleys and sewers with his sword—which, yeah, looks like a pixelated toothpick on this tiny screen, but it gets the job done. The controls are simple (just walk, jump, and attack), but the levels throw waves of enemies at you, so it’s not exactly a cakewalk. Some of the platforming bits are janky, and the color palette is basically "dark blue with more dark blue," but it’s got that late-'90s charm where you can tell they tried. If you’re into Blade or just like short, grindy action games, it’s a decent time-waster.
