Game Overview

Okay, so Breath Pirates is one of those MS-DOS games that makes you go, "Wait, what?" at first. You're a pirate, sure—but instead of just swinging swords, you're literally blowing enemies off ships with your breath. Like, full-on hurricane-force huffing and puffing. It sounds ridiculous (because it is), but somehow it works.

The first time I played, I spent way too long just experimenting—blowing barrels around, trying to knock seagulls out of the sky, accidentally sending my own crewmates overboard. The pixel art’s got that perfect ‘90s charm, all chunky and colorful, and the puzzles actually get pretty clever once you stop laughing at the absurdity of it all.

If you’ve got a soft spot for weird retro games that don’t take themselves seriously, this one’s a riot. Just don’t blame me when you catch yourself muttering, “I could’ve sworn my breath was stronger last level.”

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
