Chex Quest 2 came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Digital Café. It was a free promotional game that felt right at home on the platform, a time when shareware and branded titles often offered more substance than you might expect. You played as the Chex warrior, armed not with a gun but with a zorcher, tasked with saving the world from the slimy Flemoids.

You control the Chex soldier through a series of interconnected levels, clearing out alien invaders room by room. The main objective is straightforward: eliminate all Flemoids on each map to progress. Signature mechanics include using your zorcher to teleport enemies away instead of killing them, and navigating maze-like environments filled with secret areas and keycard hunts. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty remains manageable, never becoming overly punishing. It feels like a lighthearted, slightly goofy twist on the classic Doom formula, with a charm all its own.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
