Game Overview

So, Cisco Heat is this old-school arcade racer from 1990 where you’re tearing through San Francisco in a police car—not some generic sports car, but an actual cop cruiser with working lights and a horn. Jaleco nailed the vibe with real landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and Pier 39, though the streets feel wider than they should be when you’re barreling down them at full speed.

It’s a checkpoint race against the clock, and if you don’t make it in time? Game over. The traffic’s brutal—trams, civilian cars, even car carriers blocking lanes—but that horn actually works to clear a path, which feels weirdly satisfying. There’s a two-speed gearbox (yeah, just two), so you’re either crawling or flooring it, no in-between. And those downhill sections? Pure chaos if you don’t brake early.

Honestly, it’s janky by today’s standards, but there’s something about the sheer absurdity of dodging trams while blaring your siren that still holds up. Just don’t expect realism—this is arcade nonsense at its finest.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
