Game Overview

Commander Keen 10: Mirror Menace is one of those rare fan-made sequels that actually feels like it could’ve been official back in the day. It picks up right after the unofficial "The Universe is Toast" trilogy—you know, when Keen’s already saved the galaxy once, only to get sucked through some weird blue portal and dumped onto a planet that looks suspiciously like the Shikadi homeworld.

The first thing you’ll notice is how spot-on the vibe is. Same bouncy pogo stick, same satisfying ray gun blasts, but with new levels that feel just tricky enough without being unfair. There’s this one section early on where you’re dodging mirrored versions of enemies, and it’s the kind of twist that makes you grin if you’ve played the old games.

It’s still MS-DOS, so expect pixel-perfect jumps and that classic chiptune soundtrack. Some of the puzzles had me scratching my head for a minute, but in a good way—like when you realize you’ve been overlooking a hidden switch for the past five minutes. If you’ve got nostalgia for Keen’s adventures (or just love a solid retro platformer), this one’s a blast.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
