Play Dinosaur (Beta) Online

You wake up in a jungle with no instructions, dodging blocky dinosaurs that definitely want to eat you—sometimes you can ride them if you time your jump just right. Feels like finding a forgotten Game Boy cartridge under your couch.

Game Overview

Ever fired up an old Game Boy Color and felt that weirdly specific nostalgia for chunky pixels and tinny sound effects? Dinosaur (Beta) nails that vibe—it’s like someone dug up a lost prototype from 1999 and slapped a "beta" label on it. You’re basically tossed into this weirdly lush jungle with no tutorial, just a tiny pixelated dude and some very suspicious-looking dinosaurs. I spent my first ten minutes getting chomped by what I think was a raptor before figuring out you can (sometimes) jump on their backs.

The whole thing feels like a mashup of Jurassic Park and one of those obscure platformers you’d rent on a whim. Graphics are pure GBC—think pea-green grass and dinosaurs that look like they’re made of Lego bricks. There’s no real story, just this eerie sense that you’re playing something that was abandoned mid-development. Half the fun is poking at the edges to see what glitches or secrets turn up.

Honestly, it’s janky as hell, but there’s something weirdly charming about that. Like finding a scratched-up VHS tape of a movie that never got finished. If you’re into retro curiosities, this one’s a trip.
