Play Dragon Ball Z III - Ressen Jinzou Ningen (Japan) Online

Pick your Z fighter and duke it out in fast, messy NES battles—bigger sprites, flashier moves, and way more character quirks than the last games. Vegeta spams ki blasts, Piccolo zones, and yeah, that Kamehameha actually looks decent for 8-bit.

Game Overview

Dragon Ball Z III on NES is the third game in the series, and honestly, it feels like they finally got the hang of it. You pick your fighter—Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, or one of the others—and jump into these fast, chaotic 1v1 battles. The sprites are bigger and more detailed than before, and the special moves actually look like they should (well, as much as an 8-bit Kamehameha can).

What I like is that it doesn’t just feel like a reskin of the last game—there’s more strategy now. Some characters are way better at zoning, others just rush in and wreck shop. Took me a few fights to realize Vegeta’s ki blasts are way spammier than Goku’s, but hey, that’s the fun of figuring it out. The music’s still that classic NES chiptune energy, too.

If you’ve played the first two, this one’s the best of the bunch. If not, it’s a solid little fighter for its time, even if the controls take some getting used to.
