Game Overview

Dragon Ball Z: Les Guerriers Legendaires is one of those Game Boy Color games that somehow crammed the entire DBZ hype into a tiny cartridge. You pick your fighter—Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo—and jump into turn-based battles that actually feel like the anime, complete with charging up ki and yelling at your Game Boy when a Spirit Bomb misses. The sprites are tiny, but they nailed the energy blasts and transformations.

What surprised me was how much RPG stuff they squeezed in. Between fights, you’re training stats, unlocking new moves (finally getting the Kamehameha feels like a victory), and even choosing dialogue options that change how fights play out. It’s not perfect—some battles drag if you’re underleveled—but landing a perfect combo on Frieza’s final form still hits that nostalgic sweet spot. If you’ve got a soft spot for early DBZ games, this one’s a solid time capsule.
