Game Overview

Dragon Ball Z V.R.V.S. is one of those old-school arcade fighters that somehow makes you feel like you’re actually throwing energy blasts across the screen. The sprites are chunky and bright, exactly how you remember them from the anime—Goku’s Kamehameha actually looks like it could level a city.

You pick from the usual lineup (Vegeta, Piccolo, etc.), and the controls are simple but satisfying—just enough depth to pull off those dramatic super moves without needing a PhD in fighting games. The AI isn’t shy about punishing button mashers, though. First time I played, Frieza wrecked me in about 30 seconds.

It’s pure 90s arcade chaos, right down to the digitized voice clips and screen-shaking specials. If you’ve ever wanted to relive that DBZ tournament vibe without digging for quarters, this MAME rom’s got you covered.
