Game Overview

DT - Lords of Genomes (Japan) is one of those weird little Game Boy Color RPGs that somehow slipped through the cracks—which is a shame, because it's got this bizarre charm that sticks with you. You start off recruiting these genetically modified fighters, and before long, you're elbow-deep in their DNA, swapping out traits like you're building the ultimate mutant chimera.

The battles feel like a mix between chess and a mad scientist's lab experiment—positioning matters, but so does whether you gave your tank guy squid tentacles or laser eyes. The pixel art has that crunchy '90s cyberpunk look, all neon greens and purples, and the music nails that "abandoned bio-lab" vibe perfectly.

It’s definitely niche, but if you’ve ever wanted a game where your strategy hinges on whether to give your team vampire fangs or photosynthesis, this is your jam. Just don’t blame me when you lose an hour tweaking gene combos.
